Membership Questions

Why was my request to join declined?
Memberships are declined for various reasons.

  • incomplete profile, including lack of member photo and unanswered questions
  • too much 'spam' type information in your profile
  • membership in too many other meetup groups, specifically mom groups
  • out of our area

My friend is a member and referred me. Why hasn't my request been approved yet?
The group closes membership several times a year to allow current members to get to know each other. We are always interested in meeting new friends but it may take time for the group to be ready for new members.

I'm expecting / adopting my first child. Can I join?
Sure!

I'm moving to the area or living in another city. Can I join?
Due to the group's activity requirements, we restrict membership to those in our area. You are welcome to join once you're in the neighborhood

I was removed from the group. Can I rejoin?
If you were removed due to inactivity and feel like you are able to participate, you are more than welcome to rejoin.

I'm a stay at home mom. Can I join?
Absolutely!
