About Route 422 Working Moms
Who is welcome?
This group is for working mothers along the Route 422 corridor. All you need is a child (or two, or three?), a positive outlook on life and a desire to be a part of an active group. Children of all ages are welcome as well as moms-to-be. Currently our membership consists of moms with infants to middle-schoolers.
Who should stay away?
Moms who do not have the time or desire to be part of an active group will probably find their membership being revoked due to inactivity. Members must attend 1 event every month to keep an active status in the group.
What about us lurkers?
All new members have 30 days to attend a public event. This will ensure the safety of our members. We don't want to give "lurkers" access to our moms and their children.
Do I have to attend the events?
That's pretty much why we're here. We want to meet in person and socialize our children. That means we require that all members attend a minimum of 1 event every month.
Can I host a playgroup?
Especially during the cold weather months, play dates held at a member's house are very welcome. Please let me know if you would like to open your home for an event.
Why RSVP?
Reasons for RSVPing are two-fold. First off, it shows me that you're active and paying attention so you aren't 'accidentally' removed from the group and two, it cuts down on the number of emails reminding you to RSVP. So just do it!
Tardiness is not a trait we want to pass on to our children, so please be on time.
Also note that there will be events with limited capacity so please do not take up spots unless you are sure you will be able to make it.
What's up with the group ratings?
After each event, you are sent an email to tell the organizer what you thought. Those ratings are tallied and our group ratings come from your response. Please take the time to fill out these surveys and feel free to send me a personal note as well. If you had a horrid time I'd like to hear about it and make changes so it doesn't happen again.
Is there a group fee?
There is a yearly member fee of $10.00. Member fees will be used to cover Meetup.com fees and group events. Please note that fees are not pro-rated or refundable.
Sponsorship for Route 422 Working Moms Group
Sponsorships are a great way for businesses, organizations or brands to support Meetup groups, while getting exposure to active, local members. We are currently looking for sponsors who will either subsidize our Meetup costs or offer free or discounted services or products to members of Route 422 Working Moms.
Members who have been active (attending at least two events a month) for at least six months are welcome to submit a request for sponsorship and have their business name and link to their website listed on the group home page.
